Powder coating is a coloured plastic coating that is baked onto the metal. The surface looks like it has been painted and is resistant to scratches and damage.

Stainless steel - for the love of the material
We manufacture all stainless steel products from high-quality chrome-nickel steels that are weather-resistant and absolutely rustproof. We give a 10-year guarantee on this.
Choose V2A stainless steel for most applications. This steel is universally applicable, resistant to scratches and available with a brushed or polished surface.
Choose V4A stainless steel if the lettering is to be applied in environments containing salt or chlorine.

Frequently asked questions about stainless steel (FAQ)
Are Signostar products suitable for outdoor use?
We manufacture all lettering, house numbers and individual letters from weather-resistant V2A stainless steel (Nirosta). Our products are absolutely weatherproof and can be used permanently outdoors. We give you a 10-year guarantee!* You can find more information on the materials page.
How thick is the material of the lettering?
Lettering up to a width of 80cm as well as house numbers and single letters up to a height of 50cm are made of 2mm thick stainless steel. For wider lettering and higher house numbers and single letters, we use 3mm thick stainless steel.
How big should my house number be?
House numbers in the front door area should usually be easily recognisable at a distance of up to 10m. For this, we recommend a number height of at least 20cm.
Are there any other fonts?
